Having used many of your Kingsgate Hotels we were very disappointed with the cleanliness of the rooms, but very quiet and comfortable with pleasant staff.

On arrival the room smelt very musty. I had obviously not been used for some time and needed airing. The plug for the bath did not fit. In the morning at 7.00 am Iasked for a newspaper at reception and was told to ask in the restaurant for they may be some left there. To be toldin the restaurant "It is too late all papers have gone." That was at 7.a.m !! Not what I expect in a well known hotel chain I could not recommend and certainly would not go again.

Well located, close to the centre. The rooms were clean but beding looked old. The room also itself needed some refreshment. The restourant was excellend and the service was second to none. Highly recomend if you decide to stay in this Motel.

Room smells dank and musty. Carpet is worn out and other furnishings in the room look none the worse for wear. I have stayed in other hotels/motels with comparable rates during my NZ trip but they are clean and aptly furnished. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Hotel downstairs was terrific with helpful staff and a very flash restaurant. The room however was terrible - bathroom with mouldy corners and a window in the shower that overlooked the street. Parking was off down the street and the room had a tiny double bed and a single when we requested a king.

Was pleasently surprised for what I paid for on an exceptionally fantastic cheap rate! Bathroom was expectionally clean. Plenty of facilities in hotel. Would definately stay again and highly recommend.

suited our purpose in location. Having a bath was a rare bonus. The lighting was very poor. I do think they might make more of their history as parts of that hotel must be quite old Green cleaning idea is good

Probably the worst hotel bed I've ever slept in! Also room dated and shabby and smelt musty, but was clean. However service was friendly, good meal in the bar, and really nice breakfast.

I spent a night at the Kingsgate Hotel Greymouth recently, and found it to be great in every aspect. I have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone. The dining room also serves really delicious meal.
