Kendall Hotel & Suites Miami Guest Reviews
My family and I stayed here for a few months while our home was being renovated. During our stay: our sink stopped working. the roof leaked in several rooms (we had a two bed room suite) causing damage to many of our belongings (which the hotel did not offer to replace or event fix the problem). the walls had stains all over them. we constantly received dirty sheets when the maids would supposedly give us fresh ones. The breakfast was good but often the fruit would be spoiled because it was left out and the bread had flies all over it. The maids were rude and would talk about us while we were in the room! (I guess they thought i didn't know spanish). This hotel has a roach problem as well as bed bugs! Also, although this hotel is located in a good area, many of it's guests are people of questionable morals. (quite frankly, I witnessed several instances where men would come with a female "guest." Personally I could care less but I would not want my kids seeing this sort of thing). I'm from this area so I know that many of the local youth throw parties here (as I once did). This is no big deal unless you actually enjoy a full night's rest. The pool couldn't be dirtier. The gym machines are usually broken. The front desk staff are slow and incompetent. Also, there is no washer and drier. This is more of an inconvenience than a grievance. Lastly, my 15 year old little sister was constantly harassed by the grown male workers here. They would hiss and whistle at her while it was pretty obvious she's underage because she would be wearing her school uniform. Anyways, this was a horrible experience. Since I'm from the area I would recommend staying at one of the numerous other hotels in the area. I never usually write these sort of things but this was so bad I just don't want anyone to go through what we went through. I wouldn't even reccomend this plas to an enemy. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

The hotel was centrally located with the zoo, seaquarium, shopping and train museum all within a 20 minute drive. The rooms while they did show the wear of years of use were large and clean - in fact the 2 bedroom suite was large enough for a family of 5 not to become annoyed with each other after 3 days - those of you with small children will understand. It definitely was good value for the money.

This was our second stay at this hotel. The rooms are large and comfortably furnished, but could stand some refurbishing. The beds and pillows are excellent. It is in a quiet neighborhood, but a car is a definite requirement, as it is in most of South Fla. Everything is so spread out, and the public transportation leaves much to be desired. Dadeland Mall is nearby and easily accessible. There are quite a few decent restaurants in the area. We didn't use the hotel pool, although it looked quite inviting. We only had breakfast in the dining room. It was buffet-style, but there was a chef available to make omelets to order. It would be a good place to stay for anyone going to Baptist hospital for treatment.
