Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest Guest Reviews (25)

Kempinski Hotel Corvinus Budapest
3 out of 5

Having stayed in many 5 star establishments all over the world (and some even above that), I understand what generally constitutes as a luxury hotel. While the location is great for access to all Budapest has to offer, this hotel lets itself down with the little things that one expects as standard in any renowned hotel. From the lack of tea/coffee making facilities, no nightly turn down service, not once being greeted by the doorman when my wife and i entered or exited the lobby, single duvets and a king bed made up of 2 single beds pushed together, this hotel left a lot to be desired. The hotel badly needs to address these concerns as they seem to be a common theme on traveller forums and I must say I am now concerned about my upcoming stay at another Kempinski as this stay has left a sour taste.

We got a super deal at a fantastic hotel So much to see in Budapest you need at least 3 full days. Most people speak english and are very helpful and friendly. The food is very cheap but very good.

Excellent hotel, centrally located. Excellent staff. Too expensive the (massive!) breakfast not included in the room rate.

Excellent hotel, well located with well-equipped large rooms and friendly staff. Good value for money. Easy to see all major attractions on foot if you like walking. Close to many restaurants and vibrant squares both during the day and in the evening. Hotel is very quiet despite its central location. Could not have had friendlier service. The staff certainly try hard to make your stay very comfortable and trouble free.

The hotel is located right in the centre of Budapest, very convenient to everything. It is older, so not all the most modern conveniences, and the air conditioning struggled a bit to keep up, as it was very hot when we were there. The staff were most helpful, and genuinely friendly, yet professional.

A true 5 star hotel in the old style, but that means some of the facilities are a bit tired, the air conditioning couldn't keep up and the staff tend to look down their noses at you a bit. Beautiful lobby, great location, and overpriced for what you get, particularly in Budapest, where there are a lot of great hotel deals. Still a very nice hotel overall, they just need to modernize a bit, both attitude and facilities.

Fabulous! I am trying to think of anything negative and I am coming up short. I have stayed in some fantastic hotels and this definitely makes the shortlist. This hotel would be worth the cost at normal rates (though I probably wouldn't have booked it) - the package flight and hotel was a steal, though I made up the difference with room service and spa treatments! The staff was helpful and accommodating, the food and beverage product was quality - only once I ordered a glass of champagne and it was served flat - when I mentioned it, they brought out a new bottle, opened it at the table and were totally professional. The location is outstanding (they were setting up a bit of a Christmas market right behind the hotel). You can walk practically everywhere from this location. It was a fantastic experience and I hope to revisit.

Perfect location, very nice staff, everything was perfect. The Spa and especially the pool could be better, but the massages are great.

Amazing hotel with spacious rooms and mine even had a view of the Cathedral. Great location, right on the top end of Vaci Utca and a stone's throw away from Cafe Gerbeaud which is a must try in Budapest, I was able to walk to the Buda side and even Hero's Square. The staff are amazing, service is fantastic. The pool in the spa was tiny, but their Thai massage was heavenly. I got a pretty good deal from the internet but even if I have to pay more next time, I will definitely stay there again.

We both enjoyed our stay at the Corvinus immensely. The price we got through [your website] was very good, especially compared to the walk-in price of the hotel. The standard room we had was pleasant, clean and spacious, with a good shower room (no bath, although that didn't worry us at all). The spa facilities are lovely and the location of the hotel is very good.

You can often upgrade at the desk to a Junior Suite for an extra 60 Euros(+VAT) which is a good deal. It is next door to Le Meridien - similar standard and prices. Public areas in Kempinski are better.
