Karona Resort and Spa is located in the heart of the Andaman Sea, on one of the most perfect spots in the Phuket Island. The resort has been designed to bring you the most moderate, cosy and harmony surroundings of the tropical rain forest.

Stayed at Karona from 12-15 Dec 06. Don't be fooled by the drive way...the interior decor is pleasing to the eyes, with matching water theme all over- I love it! Even though the place is full of caucasians (not that I mind), we Asians were treated equally. The hotel team was fantastic! Simply warm and welcoming! Another plus point is that the beach is just right across the road, and that the eateries around the area are great (i would recommend a cheap and wonderful roadside seafood restaurant-'Best Friend': just turn right and walk straight along the main road.)! Oh and one more thing! We were given a free upgrade to a Deluxe room as all the superior rooms were in use. The Deluxe room is huge: a queen bed plus a single bed and a wooden day bed! I totally enjoyed my stay in Karona.

This is a good, clean, fairly basic hotel with a very good location right across from Karon Beach. No "frills," but a great value. Rooms were neat and clean and the facility was well-maintained. Staff was helpful.

The service is fabulous! It amazed me how they constantly never failed to assist in every way possible. To name a few, we forgot to give arrival details, so there wasn''t airport pick up; so instead, they gave us free ride to the airport upon departure. Then, on our last night, my boyfriend sprained his ankle outside the resort. The amount of ice and concern that came from the staff was overwhelming! The resort is a 2 minute walk from Karon beach. Karon itself is a little quiet, but great if you want to get away from the hustle of the city. We rented a motorcycle for 2 days and got into Patong without any problems. I would definitely recommend Karona Resort and Spa to anyone wanting a great getaway.
