Surrounded by a beautiful tropical garden, the Kaomai Lanna Resort is a unique boutique accommodation on the route from Chiang Mai to Doi Inthanon, the highest mountain in Thailand.

The resort has comfortable guestrooms that are decorated in contemporary Lanna style with colonial style teak wood antique furniture.
Restaurant
The gorgeous tropical style restaurant, in the entrance area, entices passers by and guests alike with its decorated wooden furniture in rural style, serving delicious local northern cuisine. Kaomai Lanna Resort Chiang Mai Guest Reviews
I didn't actually get to stay at the Kaomai Lanna Resort because they overbooked; however, they placed me with the Greendang Guest House which turned out to be a great thing. The owner of Greendang took great care of us, was very personable (let us use her bikes and moped to get around). We had a cute cottage that opened onto an enclosed patio where we could relax outside and still stay cool. Additionally, we also had access to the resort's facilities such as the pool but we chose to stay around Greendang since we just wanted to enjoy the countryside and its fresh air.
