Kamandalu Resort & Spa Ubud Bali Guest Reviews (4)
We had a fantastic stay at Kamandalu. I would have rated it 5/5 had the construction work on the new restaurant, lobby area and bar been complete. Once this is finished in 2013 it will be even better. We stayed in a garden villa which was gorgeous - lovely daybed, indoor sunken bath, gorgeous outdoor shower and big four poster bed. The breakfast is brilliant with loads of different choices including healthy options. The staff at Kamandalu are so genuinely happy, friendly and helpful without being over the top. My husband was sick when we first got there and one of them climbed a tree, got down a young coconut and brought it to him in the room to help him get better. The 2 swimming pools are lovely with the newest pool having fantastic views. There are many little touches which make Kamandalu so special and the stay so relaxing and enjoyable. Would definitely recommend and would go back.

We stayed 3 nights here and I'm a little stuck with rating this place from Average to Very Good, point forms below; Positives: - Service excellent, all staff friendly and helpful - Buffet breakfasts each morning was a great selection and very nice - Room are spacious and well equipped - Peaceful and the smell of dew with the morning sun whilst enjoying the outdoor shower is fantastic Negatives: - Once you have a close look, the room is quite dusty - Bed looked attractive but wasn't very comfortable - Outdoor day bed is a fantastic idea but having all dead and live insects along with bird droppings is not inviting at all - we never used it - Shuttle does not operate during lunch or dinner periods, hoping that guests will have to dine on property, and price at the restaurant is phenomenon and worst is that taste is not fantastic and food takes forever to be served!

this is a wonderful hotel to stay at in ubud. possibly the only gripe is that the massage and spa services offered are of exorbitant prices compared to what is offered elsewhere. while it was not very pleasant that there was ongoing construction in the opposite area during our stay, everything else is lovely. especially love the sight of lush green everywhere and christmas decorations were fabulous! bed was a bit too high to my liking. but breakfast provided was top class and there were a lot of interactions between staff and customers which was lovely.
