Arrived early at 8.30am, check in was 2pm, they allowed us to check into a smoking room which wasnt unpleasant. Walls are thin, location was great. I would stay here again.

Pleasant helful staff. Lovely clean room. Would expect breakfast included at this price, but ,was still cheaper than most Edinburgh hotels. Will stay at Jurys again next time I visit the capital.

I stayed here for the second time as I loved it when I stayed there for the first time. It's a very pleasant hotel and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is slightly expensive for dinner but the waiters/waitresses are really nice. Breakfast was good (buffet). Approximately 5-7 minute walk to the tourist information (near the airport shuttle bus stop). I wish the rates were a little low and there might be other good hotels around but I'd love to stay there again, hopefully longer next time. Certainly one of the very best hotels I have stayed at (around this price range, of course, but probably as good and comfortable as fancier ones). It's somewhere between a good budget hotel and a fancy hotel so you can expect friendly but professional staff as well.

Our stay was very enjoyable. Location was excellent in that it was 2 mins from the Royal mile, 2 mins from the Railway station but also encountered the noise from the trains through the night! It was also very expensive, however August in Edinburgh is - the result of demand Tatoo, festival etc. Staff, very helpful and co-operative. Breakfast excellent. Will return but not at those prices.

Hotel was clean but the service was very bad. You had wait and queue for breakfast as the resturant is very small and it was not self service. Also very expensive at £173 for 1 night - last year we paid only £120 for a hotel that was far better then this and in a better location during the same week. The only good think to say was that the hotel was clean.

The hotel was perfect for our requirements. Only minutes walk from the train station and the main shopping area, with the Royal mile close at hand too. Well worth it.

The interenet advertises that this hotel has parking however that is not the case, the car park is not in the hotel grounds it is a 10 minute walk away which was a major disappointment carrying heavy bags in the rain. Otherwise checkin was swift, room was nice and looked like the pictures. Good variety at breakfast although we didn't seem to enjoy it. The bar was nice. The reception area was well furnished but deserted, shame really as it was a nice area to lounge with a drink but just no ambiance. We would go back though. Hotel advertises the room at £180 a night, we paid £94 on here.

Receptionist and other staff attending me was very friendly, the room was ok and spacious, but the former client had been smoking in it, which was not nice as I do not smoke. Friendly cleaning lady did some refreshing so that I could stay in it, though. Everything was ok, room good and clean, breakfast variable enough. The only thing that could be improved was the high-speed internet: as the help desk could not give me the smtp address needed, I could only send mails via webmail, a nuisance, and for the price you pay. However, room rates slightly exaggerated.

Had to check-in before the regular time but staff were very courteous and helpful in storing baggage and pointing us in the direction of breakfast! Excellent location, close to Princess Street and an easy flight of steps to "The Royal Mile", would definitely stay here again.

My parents stayed in this hotel for 4 nights. They felt that it was very good value for the rate that they paid. They said that the hotel was modern, and that the staff couldn't be faulted.

What a lovely Hotel. our room was spotless, with clean towels and adequate coffee/tea making facitlities, no view as we were at the back of the hotel, but we did not mind. The staff could not have been more helpful in giving us tips on getting to places quickly - what to visit etc. The bar was a haven and so reasonably priced, it served wonderful coffee through the day and we ate from the bar menu one evening and were very impressed, by both the standard and cost of the meal. A great atmosphere in the evening !! Breakfast was lovely, fresh food being bought out continously, staff very courteous...definately recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Edinburgh for its location/cleanliness and caring staff. if I ever go back to this beautiful city I will definately stay there again.
