a MUST STAY if you going to fisherman wharf. Rooms are 4 stars BUT 5 stars services from JOY Hotel! Fisherman Wharf is beautiful with the sunset scenery (another MUST See if you are visiting Taiwan)and with Kevin's(JOY HOTEL)hospitality- you will enjoy the short stay. There were 10 of us (being youngest @45 yrs!) and it was difficult to get taxis, so Kelvin took to liberty to bring us around town! Kelvin spend 1/2 day with us personally guide us to the places of interest. 2 thumb-up for JOY HOTEL.

The room was quite alright but the view isn't as good "sea view" as they advertise as you are not right by the water. The room was basic and so is the breakfast but the jacuzzi in the bathroom is awesome. We had motorbikes to drive to this hotel but if you came by mrt you would need the hotel pickup.

My parents had an enjoyable stay@this Danshui Joy Hotel. Though the hotel is relatively new, staff were very courteous and helpful. Even the chef was nice enough to customise a western (egg and ham) breakfast for them, worried that they are not used to the local taipei breakfast. The hotel room is spacious and bathroom too which allows one to enjoy a nice soak.
