A little out of the way - in a not-so-nice corner of Voss. Lots of (noisy) drunken louts wandering around outside during the night. Hotel fine though, friendly and helpful staff, slean, etc.

The staff were friendly and the service was good. We found that the bathroom was a little smaller than we were used to in some other hotels, and the tap kept dripping. However this was the only "bad" point - apart from this our stay was comfortable. In terms of location, the Jarl is within walking distance of Jarl town centre, so very convenient. We also discovered there was a really nice 2km walk which started opposite the hotel and took us down by the lake which was very pretty. This was the most expensive place we stayed in (we stayed in several across Norway), but was about the same standard as the others (in terms of services). Perhaps the extra cost was because of the location.
