Location
The building in which the apartments are housed is steeped in history being set within the 400 year old James Court close. James Court Edinburgh Apartments are close to the main transport links, with Edinburgh Waverley train station a minute's walk away and Edinburgh Bus Station also within easy reach.
Rooms
Some of the historical apartments have been furnished in a style sympathetic to their age with tapestries and elaborate ironwork; but modern comforts are not forgotten - rooms are equipped with cable TV, DVD player, and a well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher plus washing machine.
Restaurant
Guests are spoilt for choice when eating out in the local area since every cuisine imaginable is on offer. The Hard Rock Cafe is situated close by and is always popular with families. Breakfast is offered at the James Court Apartments and guests can choose from a variety of fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurts and juices.
General
The reception desk at James Court Apartments Edinburgh is manned throughout the day, and concierge service is available. Lifts are not available in this listed building which features a spiral staircase.

Was there on business for a week...it was a Great place to stay and i would definitely go back again. It is close to all the pubs and clubs and the location can not get any better...there is also an old pub in the basement (yes in the basement...!!!!) which is very handy when you are completely "gone"...Great place...watch out for the stairs thought = travel light...

Location was ideal and apartment was spacious. Directions from the head office (where pick up keys) to the apartment were not the most direct route and were out of date for pub name (Clever Dick's no longer called this) but otherwise the staff were very friendly.

Stay here end of November 2007, very good location...few minutes walk from Edinburgh Castle, and many travel agency around the corner for a day trip. Must be prepared for the check in location at Queen St...although check out should be no problem (just leave the key inside the apartment)... Spiralling staircase to your room apartment as expected because it is an old building... Dont be fool by the apartment's exterior which look shabby but interior room apartment is well furnished and clean..with kitchen facilities (remember to bring your own cooking oil if intended for home-cook)..will definitely come again for price and location bargain..

It's all about the location - right on the Royal Mile, stone's throw from the Edinburgh Castle. Brilliant location, and a spacious clean self-service apartment.
