Location
Marriott Resort Spa is set on the long the stretch of Mai Khao Beach overlooking the Andaman Sea. It is only 15 minutes to the airport and is close to Yacht Haven Marina.
Rooms

Thoroughly enjoyed my short stay, the hotel is truly wonderful, staff excellent, food good, facilities very good. I would definitely recommend this for a break. Thoroughly recommend the 4 hands massage which is a speciality of the Spa.

We finished our Thai holiday at the Marriot so that among other things our daughter could participate in their kids club and do the Circus program and specifically the Trapeze. The Circus and trapeze training were fantastic and the staff running it were superb and made the experience something my 9 yr old daughter will remember for the rest of her life. The hotel itself was lovely, with great facilities and wonderful helpful and friendly staff. The major plus was very few people as it was Monsoon season (we were there in July/August) and most folk think the weather will be awful but in reality it rains hard for 10mins and then clears to a gorgeous sunny day and we had 2 downpours in 2 weeks so no big deal. Food was fab and the 2 breakfast buffets are feasts and set you up for the whole day but if you need an in between snack there is their wonderful deli for great bakery items and hot food as well. I would highly recommend this wonderful resort for families and couples.

Really well thought through hotel but in the middle of nowhere so you are really confined to the resort. Food was excellent and so too was service. Very good for families but too many children running around if you are after a romantic get away. I would recommend this hotel to friends.

Going there in season is not good value for money. 255 dollars US in Thailand is over the top. Food outlets were very good and the staff very friendly, however on more than one occassion I was asked to see a video about Marriott time shares and when I am paying this much for the room that is uncalled for.

One practically does not leave the hotel for the vacation, it has a nice spa, a magnificient pool, and a quiet beach.
