Viareggio Climate
The area where Viareggio is located experiences a climate that has hot, humid summers and cool, damp winters. From the months of June through August, the temperatures can reach a balmy 32°C. However, the prevailing winds tend to keep the warm temperatures comfortable most of the time. During the winter months of December through February, the temperatures are cool at 10°C.
Getting There & Around
To reach Viareggio by train, visitors will find that the rail runs along the coast between Genoa and Rome and the town is easy to access. By air and car, the town is just off the A12 motorway, and flights come into Pisa Airport, which is about 24 km away.
Getting around the area can be done with rental cars, bus or taxi. However, most will discover that cars stay parked and everyone travels by bicycle.
