Venice Hotels near Biennale Gardens

The host site of the exhibitions is in the Giardini Pubblici, where you can find the pavilions of about 40 countries. But during the Biennale you can find exhibitions throughout the city, like in the Arsenale. There are 76 countries represented in the 2007 Biennale this year.

This exhibit showcases the strange to the mundane and everything in between. Expect to see a little of everything as you go from booth to booth or performance to exhibit. It’s all represented so you’re sure to find something that catches your eye.

You’ll want to buy tickets ahead of time for the theater, dance, and music performances. The Art exhibit runs from June through November. The music festival is one week in early October. Dance performances run for a week in mid June, and the Theater Festival performs for the last week in July.

Staying in Venice for the Biennale

You’ll want to stay in a hotel centrally located for Biennale because it is located throughout the city. The main site is a 10 minute walk from St. Mark’s Square so the Bauer Hotel is perfectly located moments from St. Mark’s. The Bauer Hotel is a five star hotel with spacious rooms, excellent food, top shelf service, and a view of the Grand Canal. You’ll spend extra for these accommodations, but if your budget allows, don’t pass up the chance to stay at the Bauer Hotel.
