Getting There
St. Peter’s is easily accessible via several forms of public transportation, though the city’s train system in particular is considered the easiest way to navigate the area, especially for holidaymakers new to the area. Visitors heeding this advice should take the red line on the Rome subway and stop at Ottaviano-S. Pietro. Trains run every 7-10 minutes. The church is located within a manageable walking distance from the city centre, 2.5 kilometres, but taxis are also abundantly available in the area.
