Pescara Climate
Pescara enjoys a Mediterranean climate. The summers are hot and dry and the temperatures often exceed 30°C in July and August. Most of the 683 mm of annual precipitation falls during the winter, when the nighttime lows rarely reach the freezing point.
Getting There & Around
You can fly directly into the Abruzzo Airport, just 10 minutes from Pescara, on Ryanair from London. Flights from JFK in New York and Toronto also arrive there on an irregular schedule. A train from Rome will get you into Pescara in about four hours.
This beach city is ideal for walking tours, especially in the areas reserved for pedestrians, which have good sidewalks. If you want to drive around, you should know from the start that parking is very limited here.
