Many towns such as Cassano d'Adda, home to Borromeo Castle, date back well over a thousand years and feature some terrific gems in close proximity to massive Milan. Lainate, a mere 15 km from the capital city, has a popular attraction in the Villa Litta. Exquisite villas in fact, abound in and around the main city, from the Villa Ghirlanda in Cinisello Balsamo to the Casa Corbellini in Corbetta.
