Fiumicino Climate
The Mediterranean climate of Fiumicino provides pleasant weather year round, although summers are hot with highs over 30°C. Winters are mild and wet with 2-4°C lows and about 10-12 cm of rain per month from December through February. May through August is quite dry with only a 3-4 cm of rain per month.
Getting There & Around
Leonardo da Vinci International Airport is right in the centre of Fiumicino, which makes it more cost effective to use the airport or hotel shuttles rather than taxis if you are staying in town.
The Roma-Lido train station is only 25 minutes away in Ostia Antica, which is also where the Battelli di Roma ferry picks up and drops off passengers.
