This was a good little hotel and close to the station which we wanted but at the same time it was only a short walk further to the centre of town, the castle, the waterfront and lots of restaurants. Ths staff were friendly and helpful, We were only in Trieste for an afternoon and evening so it was perfect.

Reception was cordial, though couldn't provide any ice despite the fact there was a bar in the lobby. Breakfast was not a good value considering the cost of the stay. Location was excellent for accessing bus, trains and shopping but there seemed to be a shortage of places to eat within walking distance.

they would not let me borrow an iron to press some blouses. they insisted i needed to send out for ironing. i would have preferred to do it myself when i wanted to
