We stayed at Istana once five year ago and we loved everything about this hotel. Since then management has been changed and we were really disappointed with the services and room provided. Although we checked in 5pm, the room was not reay and had to wait for 45 mins to clean. When we finally got a room, we found the room was still not clean and kettle and cups were dirty. Bathroom was definately not cleaned, and amenities were missing. We requested for the new room, the receptionist was not happy at all and gave us the down-graded room with two single beds without any apologis! They told us there were no other rooms availble and we had to choose the dirty room or the down-graded one. we were tired of complaning at the end of the day as almost every day we had to ask for fresh towels and clean cups.The rooms need to be refurbished, epecially bathroom/toilet. It was not a 5-star hotel after all.

Hotel was conveniently across road from inner city monorail and typical of Asian 3.5 -4 star hotels. The service we received from Lily at reception who smoothly ironed out a twin v. double misunderstanding and allowed us to shower at gym prior to evening flight was 5 star!!! Lily you made our stay in Kuala Lumpur perfect. Terima Kasih!

baby cockroach in the room, room slippers flimsy and broke,missing bathrobe, towels below par- stiff and scratchy. On the bright side, fairly central, walking distance to bukit bintang shopping area.

Everything is great about this hotel. Staff very helpful and friendly. Great location, super buffet breakfast, excellent room. No free WIFI and no WIFI in the room. Have stayed here before and will again.

I called and was told that the check in time was 2 PM. I was there earlier, but was made to wait until 3 PM as I was told they were cleaning the rooms. Many guests were also told the same. The worst part was, they did nothing to make up for this late check in. And this had happened a few times I stayed at this hotel. This will be my last time. I stayed fr 3 nights. The fridge was not working. Requested three times for it to be fixed, but all in vain.
