Haifa Climate
The Mediterranean climate of Haifa means hot dry summers and cool, rainy winters. The climate is humid all the year round, while rain occurs between September and May. By late May, the mercury shoots high, as the average summer temperature is 26ºC, and the average winter temperature is around 12ºC.
Getting There & Around
Haifa is well connected to the other major cities of the country via train. The Ben Gurion International Airport is also easily accessible by train.
The city bus service is one of the major modes of local transportation. Both inner city and intercity buses operate from the Hamifratz Central Bus Station. Buses operate from numerous locations from 5 am to 11:30 pm Sunday to Thursday. The Friday service is only until 4:30 pm, while on Saturday the service is from 9 am to midnight. Taxis are another major and convenient mode of transport to take you anywhere within the city.
