Again this is a comparison with the Sheraton because we only stay there and there is no Sheraton in Aswan. We think for the price you pay it is worth it. Dr Clarence

The hotel complex was amazing, the only thing i have to comment about is that the rooms were a bit dated and old, but otherwise amazing.

The pool man did not clean used pool towels, he just sat them on the hedge to dry then folded them back up to give to the next customer. The buffet for both breakfast and dinner were bland, adn the hotel charges you for any phone calls you make, even to local numbers. This is not a 4-star hotel, someone needs to come back and re-rate the establishment.

Prime location. Only hotel to border directly the Nile river. Fabulous views while dining or relaxing. Main building recently completely renovated.

Everyone at the Isis Corniche was very friendly and helpful for everything we wanted to do while in Aswan. We were not with a tour group, and the front desk guys were fantastic about helping us see and do what we had in mind while in Aswan, including organizing a trip to Abu Simbel, booking taxis for us, and letting us know where to get the best deals. The hotel is very conveniently located; the rooms are on the Nile side of the Cornish; our room was closest to the street and a bit noisy (Aswan goes to bed around 3 am) but those closer to the water and on the pool side were quieter. Having a pool was a great plus and the garden-like setting of the entire complex was relaxing and lovely. The only downside of our stay there was the floors- dirty and there seemed no great effort to sweep or mop them when the room was cleaned. Overall, however, we were very pleased with the Isis Cornishe.
