Wicklow Climate
Surrounded by mountain ranges, Wicklow’s climate can become very unpredictable and can change quite quickly. Winter can be wet and windy at the same time and can stretch to January or February, but the temperature usually does not drop below 0ºC. Warm summers can occur from May to September and high temperatures are most likely in the 15-20°C range and accompanied frequently by rain showers.
Getting There & Around
Visitors can access Wicklow through the Dublin Airport or the two ferry ports in Dún Laoghaire and Rosslare. From the airport, passengers can take buses or shuttle services to the capital's central station, which has connecting buses or trains to the county. Similarly, visitors from the ports can take a train or bus going to the area.
The Irish Rail trains stop at major towns within the county. Several tourists rent minibuses or cars to explore the area leisurely.
