January and February are the colder winter months with temperatures ranging from 39°F to 46°F (4°C to 8°C); the summer months from June through July feature average temperatures of 54°F to 64°F (12°C to 18°C). Precipitation falls consistently throughout the year, with average annual totals of 39 inches (991 mm). Visiting is best in the spring, summer and fall seasons.

Getting There & Around

The town is well connected to Dublin via the M11/N11 National Primary Route, as well as the national rail network. With these links, visitors can easily fly into Dublin and then travel on to Wexford.

Getting about the area can be done with rental cars, buses, rail or ferry. In town, however, driving about or walking is most convenient. There are several bus routes for travellers to explore surrounding villages and towns as well.
