Guinness Storehouse

Perhaps nothing says Ireland more than the image of a frothy, black pint of Guinness, which is why the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin is one of the city’s most popular attractions. The Guinness Storehouse opened in 2000 as a way to let visitors see how the magical elixir is brewed, learn about its history, and even enjoy a pint at the end of the journey. Guinness Storehouse Top 3

  • Take a tour of the Guinness Storehouse while in Dublin and learn about the fascinating history of Arthur Guinness, the man who opened the historic brewery in 1759.
  • Tip at pint at the Brewery Bar on the 5th floor, where Guinness is not only a beverage but used to make traditional Dublin cuisine; a truly unique recipe ingredient.
  • Visit the Guinness Archive, where you can see historic artefacts, films, photos and memorabilia of Dublin’s most iconic brewery.

Getting There

The Guinness Storehouse is located just a short distance from the city centre of Dublin, so one of the best ways to get there is on foot, where you can enjoy the historic streets of one of Europe’s most fascinating cities. Those who prefer not to walk can take the 123 bus from O’Connell Street that stops directly in front of the Guinness Storehouse. The closest stop of the tram is located at St. James Hospital, just a short walk away. The Dublin Airport is only 10 kilometres from the city centre and can be reached by direct bus.
