Only there for 2 nights, and being January was really busy, The room was clean and staff very courteous, fantastic value for breakfast buffet, walking distance to Surfers CBD, It is not a modern 5 star hotel, but very comfortable

Myself and three mates went to this hotel as a 'post-schoolies' celebration really and reading some of the reviews I was hesitant about staying here. What I realised when staying at the International Beach Resort is that many of the reviews are over exaggerated and don't look at both sides. The location being right next to the beach (literally) was ideal and the cool breeze sitting by the balcony was amazing! However some aspects of it were correct, such as the uncomfortable bedding, the cleanliness could have done with a notch and the lifts sometimes took up to 10 minutes to arrive. Witnessed some security patrols which is good also. The customer service staff were friendly on arrival, and quickly answered any of our queries that we had. Basically you get what you pay for, being $60 a night which is much cheaper than your local suburban motel. The International Beach Resort has a quality pool which was constantly maintained, our power went out once which was quickly resolved by the maintenance person and it was pretty much quiet the whole time. Overall it could have done with a quick cleanup properly and the beds could have been more comfortable but again, you get what you pay for and this is totally worth it if you are looking for a 'budget' experience in Surfers Paradise.

I picked this hotel based on its location and price.I knew the location was good being across the road from beach and only a quick stroll to Cavill Ave.The price was also very good and to be honest the prices were a fair reflection of what you get for your money, especially during a school holiday period. The bed was comfy, but all of the furniture/decor etc was very dated. The hotel facilities were also functional but dated.

Very relaxing sitting on the balcony overlooking the beach and surf. As others have said - you get what you pay for. It's actually quite OK, everything worked, just looks a little tired and dated, and for me was quite clean enough. Great location, only a couple of minutes walk to Surfers shops... and a few seconds to a fantastic beach. Would stay again if the price was right.

Apart from the fact that the booking stated that you get car parking - there was no room in the carpark. The room was filthy - curtains had Never been cleaned by the looks of them there was filth splattered all over them. Sliding door on the balcony did not lock you could only lock it with the piddley little chain lock. We were not the only people not impressed after speaking to others in the lift they had the same opinion about their rooms and how filthy they were. Wont be going near this place again.

We only stayed here one night but it was lovely and I would return. Location was perfect, an easy walk down to Cavil. The rooms are a little on the old side but they are spacious, air conditioned and have great views. It was perfect for 5 mates looking for a night out in Surfers.

Staff at reception need basic customer service training, a smile preferred. Room cleanliness was disappointing given it's only $50 cheaper than Mantra/Outrigger; felt more like a $50/night motel. Location-wise is great, with free parking. Most likely will not return :(

We had no issue. The lifts were very quick, they had a good system going on with the security of the underground carpark and of getting in to the hotel after hours. Location was pretty good. Our room had the beach view so it was very nice to wake up to the waves crashing :) overall worth the money paid for!

Resort is getting old and in need of a renovation but overall clean. Was good for the price and location (5 minutes walk to Cavill Ave) and the facilities were good (inground pool and tennis court)!

Fine for a group of young people wanting a cheap holiday stay. Wouldn't recommend for families or anyone wanting more pleasant surrounds. Very run down.
