There were inconsistencies as to what amenities were listed when we made reservations. NO continental breakfast even tho their website lists it as included with the type of room we had. There was only 1 bathrobe and 2 people in the room. Everything was clean but we had to set the ac on 62 to get some cool air. I cringe when i see those 1 cup coffee makers in hotel rooms. So we walked a block to a coffeehouse where they had free wi-fi! There's NO wi-fi at this hotel and an ethernet connection costs more than the stuff in the minibar! Also, in their guest book it says a newspaper would be delivered to our door every morning. Never saw one. The beds are awesome comfortable and plenty of hot water but an old fashioned showerhead. Also, there was a shortage of outlets in the room. We had 2 phones, an ipad, nook, and laptop that had to be charged. When we were searching we actually saw extension cords plugged in! The staff were all very professional and friendly.

I know this was an unusually crowded weekend, but I booked this hotel expecting certain amenities. Upon arrival rather than having valet parking as advertised, I was given directions to a parking lot many blocks away and told to drive in horrible traffic to this location & pay the attendant $35.00 per day(3 day min. for a total of $105.00). However, the attendant at this distant lot, insisted that the price was $120.00 and after we resisted paying the escalated price, she finally said, "Okay, $105.00", shrugged her shoulders and said, "Oh well, I tried." Also, the hotel advertised on their web site that a deluxe room came with complimentary continental b'fast & newspaper--neither was honored.

Staying at the Intercontinental was a great time for my family and I. The locaiton is great, not too close to the quarter yet not too far away! Also, there is a great market down the street. The hotel is top when it comes to customer service. Even the bellman who brought our bags to the room, he asked if we wanted ice and went to get it for us. Everyone from front desk to valet was nice and helpful. The hotel is old, but nice. Room needs a little upgrading, furniture was stained and beds were old and lopsided. All in all, it was a great place for a stay in New Orleans. I would recommend.

Room was appropriately sized with a King bed. Room was in need of a lounge chair. View of parking lot was not appealing but didn't spend much time in hotel room so not important. Within short walking distance to "hot spots". Felt safe. Staffed well in numbers except at bar lounge in lobby. Would not hesitate to stay at this location again when in New Orleans.

Great value for the championship weekend! This was my second stay at the hotel and certainly would book a room for any future visit to New Orleans. I didn't have a ticket to the big game, so I watched it in Pete's Pub at the hotel.

all was fine other than the Valet experience. Lot at hotel was full so was led off-site and retrieving the car at check-out was a near disaster that took a very long time with little concern by most of the Valet staff

I stayed at the Intercontinental during the BCS Championship when it was completely full, as was every other area hotel. Despite the high volume of tourists (notoriously needier than the business traveler) the staff handled the guests seamlessly and cheerfully. The rooms themselves were clean and well-furnished, even if the style was rather dated. This is a more traditional property, unlike some of the modern glamor of the brand's newer hotels. It's showing its age a bit, from the bathrooms to the mattresses to the TVs to the lobby and restaurant decor. But, it is clean, and in good shape. The location is central for anyone wanting to be within walking distance of the French Quarter but away from its seedier side, or for anyone going to the Super Dome. If the price is right, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Nice hotel and friendly staff. TV's need to be updated and wi-fi added, but overall nice place. Also, valet apparently decided to take our car for a drive, as radio channel was changed and blaring loudly, and cd's were scattered all over the car.

Room service food was very good. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Was disappointed that the restaurant was closed in the afternoon because we wanted a quiet place to dine before attending the championship game. I would definitely stay there again.

We were in town for a football game and paid a very reasonable price for the room for this popular weekend. The hotel is in a perfect location only a couple of blocks from bourbon street and the rest of the quarter and within walking distance to the superdome.

Wonderful trip and experience. The hotel itself was a great value and at a good location for our purposes. Our only issue was the parking. Valet parking was advertised but was unavailable upon check-in. Poor options and instructions were given for off site parking.

Everything was great, except for the parking! Valet was full and the staff wasn't helpful. It was a busy weekend with the BCS national championship game, but they should have planned on the number of people who would need parking!
