After a 6 hour bus trip from Siem Reap we found this Hotel a total Oasis, totally unexpected for a city like Phnom Penh. Beds very comfortable, shower amazing, very happy with all that the Hotel offered including the snacks provided with our cocktails.

No complaints - full-fledged business hotel with all required amenities. Location not really central, though. Cantonese restaurant in hotel is excellent. Next to hotel a good restaurant, serving Cambodian food and a very stylish bar.

Good hotel. The spread for breakfast was good. Generally the rooms were clean with almost everything you need. Beds and pillow were excellent. However, the location is slightly out from all the happenings.

A comfortable place to stay. However for tourists it suffers from being well away from the riverside and market areas, requiring lots of tuk-tuk use.

If you want to stay in a 5 star hotel in Phnom Penh stay at L''Royal - not that there is anything wrong (except the location) with the InterContinental, it''s perfect, exactly what you would expect: a generic chain hotel with all the trappings of a 5 star property, But why stay in a place that once inside makes you feel like you could be anywhere? The staff are friendly if sometimes clueless, the F&B good. I stayed here because I wanted to save money over my usual choice. Next time I''ll spend the extra 45 bucks.

I found the Intercontinental to be excellent for my business needs although a little out of the way for the tourist wanting to stroll along the river or check out the downtown area. However there are always taxis available and the other facilities make up for the location. The pool and the health club were excellent and well maintained. I was pleased to use my wireless laptop through out the lobby and the restaurant while having breakfast or lunch. One morning I had an early appointment and I was disturbed when I could not make a cup of coffee in my room. Although the restaurant was not yet open the staff was nice enough to offer me complimentary coffee and rolls. This was my second visit to the Intercontinental and I will return again.

We enjoy staying at intercontinental hotel in phnom penh. Especially we enjoy view from hotel. This hotel is one of the tallest building in Cambodia. We can see firework at our room. The amenity goods are so nice, also bathroom is comfortable. Lots of cuisine in breakfast, and it was good taste. Anyway we enjoyed staying this hotel.

A bit on the outskirts of the inner city, so you need to rely on (expensive) taxis or motorcycles. By far the best hotel in PP in terms of facilities, but low occupancy rate -- sometimes it almost feels cavernous and semi-deserted.

Staff attitude could be more professional sometimes -- as reported earlier, a minor dispute over a breakfast bill was handled poorly and arbitrarily. Very good exercise facility, but attitutde of staff again a bit off-key. I wonder if Intercontinental should not train their staff better in customer relations?

Reception staff was not as friendly and sharp as I expected for a 5-star hotel. However, I was very satisfied with the room as it was very clean and well furnished. Bed is very comfortable, especially with many big soft pillows. Bathroom is covered with marble tiles and you will get a relaxing/soothing shower due to the "rain drop" shower head. Amenities are abundant, however could use a hair blower in bathroom for convenience. Breakfast buffet is excellent with abundant choices from American to Asian. Chinese restaurant within hotel is acceptable, however dishes are a bit heavy on salt. Recommend the wonton soup and seafood dishes. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Hotel is a little old-fashioned, but well mentained and very clean. Rooms are cleaned up twice a day, towels are changed etc. About the hotel: nothing negative. Location is not where it "all happens" but hotel taxi''s to the river side, mostly visited by tourists, are reliable and cheap. Intercontinental is of course a well known hotel-chain, and also thanks to www.asia-hotels.com, affordable. You cannot book at the hotel reception cheaper than at asia-hotels.com, however I tried for extension. Compared to other 5 star hotels in Asia, Inter-continental Phnom Penh is the same fine quality but cheaper. During my next stay in Phnom Penh I will stay in I-C again, and can recommend this hotel to everybody.

A bit of an impersonal luxury hotel, usually only very low occupancy -- the Chinese restaurant in the hotel we went to was completely empty (although excellent). Service not always very pleasant, particularly at front desk; a dispute over a breakfast charge was not handled very professionally.
