Hotel is centre of city, front facing rooms have glorious Table Mountain views & you can check out greenmarket for souveniers daily except Sunday. Transfer from JNB 160R for 2 oneway. Taxi Ride to V&A waterfront 40-50R. City bus tour stop 4 200yrds. Long street 3blks away has quite a selection of Resteraunts. Check weather daily as Robben Island tour & city Helicopters don't run in bad weather, we spent 4 days but could have done it all in 3 weather permitting

Very central location and you can walk to the Convention Centre and also up Long Street to the trendy bar / restaurant / club area. Go in a group after dark and keep your eyes open, but seemed OK. Steak house is good and hotel is about 50/ 50 in terms of a white / black clientelle. Vastly better value than the Waterfront.

Restaurant and food excellent, remember to book a table for dinner. Location very convenient for downtown Cape Town, market and restaurants. Room was clean but basic. Everyone very friendly and helpful. Overall very good value for money and a very enjoyable stay.

Excellent location - town centre - walking distance (2.5km) to Waterfront. Felt very safe, but didn''t venture out after dark other than by taxi. Green Market Square (outside the hotel) hosts a crafts market mon-sat with very good products. We''d use this hotel again especially at the rate obtained by this site which for some reason was about half the price of other agencies.
