2nd visit to the Ink48, really big rooms for New York! Once again being a Kimpton you get free WiFi and Wine hour each night so always a nice way to start the evening. Roof top bar is stunnig! the view is fantastic! Staff and hotel both of a high standard and they make you feel at home. Only good/bad point to think about, depends how you feel about this really is location, it is slightly out of the way and around a lot of car dealerships, I don't mind this as easy to get anywhere you are going in New York and the views of the City you get from here are well worth the extra block or two away from the action, nice bars and restaurants in the part of town too that aren't too touristy... Love the wee cnr Irish bar down the road.

I can't say enough about the amazing staff, the gorgeous room and the amazing view of this hotel. I went to New York for my 40th Birthday and I couldn't have picked a more friendly and gorgeous hotel. The location was brilliant and it was easy to get everywhere! The staff were always helpful and just a delight. The room was brilliant and being able to have a bath watching the flashing lights of Times Square drinking a glass of champagne was an experience I'll never forget!

I went to NYC for the first time and I wasn't sure where to stay and Ink48 was recommended. I counldn't have hopped for a better hotel or location! I could see Times Square from my room but we didn't walk out into the craziness of it every morning. The staff were SO helpfull, the rooms were a great size and the bed was so comfortable. The house keeping was brilliant and the exra touch of a nightly turn down service was exceptional! I can't fault anything about this hotel and I will defiantely be staying there on my next visit!

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at our hotel since we had never stayed here before. It was VERY NICE and had WONDERFUL service. We would highly recommend it; and being that we have two dogs and love animals it was also neat to see they are a pet friendly hotel. We didn't have our pets along but the hotel was still very classy and loved the decor! We checked out the rooftop bar and it was beautiful! The location was great too. We could walk to a lot of things. We would stay here again.

Ink48 is a cool hotel. It has a modern, cool vibe to it. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. While it is obviously a pet friendly hotel, no worries about being bothered by animal noises. The skytop lounge offers great views of midtown Manhattan with a busy crowd. It is not exactly located in the heart of a lot of attractions but with a little walking you can be on 9th Avenue or Times Square to get where you need to go.

Came here for a one night stay with some friends. It was perfect! I forgot basically all of my toiletries (of course) and they provided me with some for free!

Don't plan on getting any sleep if your room faces either 11th Ave. or 48th st. There is just not enough (or any) insulation between the inside of the room and the outside world. I don't mind city noise but this was ridiculous. The noise starts at about 10pm and goes until the sun comes up. 11th and 48th is a horrible neighborhood at night. If you enjoy hearing the following noise all night, then this hotel is for you: Loud cars blasting their stereos, trucks flying down 11th Ave., the clip clop of horses from the horse and buggy stable on 48th St., a tour bus staging area also on 48th St., endless police sirens, drunk people arguing and then fighting and more. It would have been quieter to sleep in the center of Grand Central Station. When I told the manager about the noise, he said that he's heard it before and the way to avoid this was to pay a higher price for a higher level floor. I'd like to think that the $300 a night I spent included a quiet nights sleep, but I guess you have to pay extra for that.

Even though this hotel is on the western edge of any activity there are plenty of bars and restaurants within a short walk or an easy cab ride. At least you're not overwhelmed with pedestrian traffic when you step out of the door of the hotel. The hotel restaurant has great food but short on ambience and a bit pricey.

We loved the music playing in the hotel, the decor, the cleanliness of the room and the friendly, helpful staff. Our room was great and our room view of the city was awesome! We found Ink 48 online and liked it's location. We were able to walk everywhere -- 46th Street, "Restaurant Row", was conveniently located, as well as, Times Square and the Theater District. We were able to walk to A LOT of places. Easy to hail a cab in front of the hotel too!

Ink48 is very well located as it is within a short walking distance of good restaurants, bars and Times Square. The hotel was very clean and the room was excellent. The roof top bar was fantastic and offered great views of the city and the Hudson river. Breakfast was delicious but very expensive. Staff was friendly. Free wine at happy hour was appreciated. Attendance at reception was generally friendly but, at times, painfully slow. I had to change my room key twice in the three days I stayed there and was made to feel as if it was my fault when it clearly wasn't. Overall though I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in New York as it was great value for the price I paid.

The staff was outstanding: professional, friendly and couldn't have been any more helpful. They apologized for not having a room ready when we showed up after our cruise...at 7 a.m.! Our bags were stored and we were provided all the information we could want on where to eat (their restaurant and other options close by), where to get tickets for venues, etc. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable. They provided many extras and there was even an umberella in the closet which came in handy during a rainy day of sightseeing.

A very hip and trendy hotel!! We had the most wonderful corner room on the 15th floor with panoramic views over the Manhattan skyline and the Hudson River. The concierge staff were excellent. We loved the hosted wine reception between 5 and 6 p.m. every night. The views from the roof-top bar are truly amazing but drinks are priced accordingly. We ate once in Print, the hotel restaurant - good food but again fairly pricey. Make sure you request a high floor because otherwise you'll be looking over a Jeep or Nissan garage on 11th Avenue. Would definitely go back and would recommend for theatre goers as it's not too far from Time Square and the theatre district.

Hotel is still under construction. bar/restaurant is not open yet. pool/spa not open yet. some elevators not complete. when everything is up and running the hotel will be very nice. the staff was very polite and helpful. the rooms were average size for nyc (meaning small) but were very comfortable. the design of the room was a bit strange having the bathroom about a foot from the bed and separated with a glass door. if you are not familiar with nyc this would not be a good hotel to stay at. 11th and 48th is a good walk from most attractions. overall a good hotel in a not great location.
