Getting There

Travelling to Nusa Penida will involve boat passage or a chartered a helicopter ride from mainland Bali or another neighbouring island. Ngurah Rai International Airport is fifteen kilometres from the port in Sanur, from which you can either take a ferry or charter a speedboat to the island. There are public and charter boats that shuttle visitors back and forth between Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida a well. Whilst on the island, visitors can easily get around on rented motorbike, catching the rare bemo minivan or hitching rides from the friendly locals.
