Getting There & Around
Gurgaon can be reached by plane via the Indira Gandhi International Airport. The Yellow Line of the Delhi Metro also services the area to Connaught Place, which takes a little less than an hour. Many people come from Delhi by National Highway 8.
The public transport in Gurgaon is not good, so most people get around by motorized rickshaw or private car.
The Gurgaon Rundown
Once a small fishing village, India’s Gurgaon has grown into a sophisticated urban city. High-rise buildings, large modern hospitals, and new areas like Cyber City greet tourists as they visit and explore the city. When to Go
The Delhi area, including Gurgaon, has a climate that can be somewhat unforgiving. Extremely hot summers, monsoon rains and frigid winters leave tourists short windows of opportunity to visit. From April to October, the summer temperatures can be scorching, while the winter months of December and January see freezing temperatures. From July to September, flooding from heavy rains can leave roads submerged and impassable. The best time to visit Gurgaon is from February to March or October to November, which offer pleasant temperatures and nice weather.

Getting There
The Indira Gandhi International Airport is right across the border from Gurgaon. This large airport has several terminals and many amenities for travellers coming into the country, including rail and taxi services.
Gurgaon is served by the Delhi Metro, which runs daily and provides tourists with transportation to destinations like Qutub Minar, Saket and Connaught Place. Gurgaonis also a stop on the Delhi to Jaipur railway; the number of trains each day is rather limited.
The DTC and Haryana buses travel down Delhi’s National Highway 8. Buses going to Gurgaonshould be boarded at Dhaula Kuan or in Karol Bagh.
