Ilion Hotel Athens Guest Reviews
Well located 1 block from Omonia Metro stop. Desk staff very helpful. Breakfast buffet better than expected with a full range of options - cereal, yogurt, toast, eggs both hard cooked and fried, cold meats and cheese, olives, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, juice. Hotel is on a busy street so lots of street noise - ask for a room away from the street. Inside is quiet - we never saw or heard other guests except at breakfast. Neighborhood is busy on weekdays well into the evening, mostly shuttered on Sunday evening. A working neighborhood not a tourist area.

The hotel was in a bad area of athens (omonia square). This wasn't just a personal statement but one I got from various greeks as I traveled around Greece. The hotel was average, if anything lingering toward the "bad" end. Rooms were a good size and staff were mediocre at best. The area makes this hotel a 2 star (even for the price) otherwise its a 3 star.

Basic hotel in the center of Athens which means easy access to all the tourist attractions, but also not very nice neighborhood.Ok for people who seek a place just to sleep.

Friendly helpful staff. The location is central and very close to Omonia square where there is a metro station. Reasonable breakfast.
