Getting There & Around

South Iceland does not have its own airport, so people who fly must do so via the Reykjavík Airport or the Vestmannaeyjar Airport. There is also a bus system that runs from Reykjavik, so many people choose to take the bus to South Iceland.

Tourists use the Ring Road to get around by car, but there is also bus and ferry service which connects the mainland to Vestmannaeyjar.
