Well located. Walking distince to many Melbourne attractions.Walked to Melb Central, Visited "Jersey Boys" on the Friday night after dinner and on Saturday after check out, we visited the Vic Market. Room was clean no noise and airconditioner great although a little noisy. Staff were friendly and polite. Car parking a few doors down @ $16 per night. Breakfast was in the building/resturant next door (lane way in between!) Average - Little pancakes were hard and heavy and the scrambled eggs were bland. Overall - good, well located.

The hotel was perfectly located for the theatres in the CBD. It was great to be able to get straight into our room when we arrived prior to 12.noon. Staff were very approachable.

A friend and I recently stayed at this hotel and were very impressed upon arrival. However, don't be discouraged by the hallways as you step out of the elevator (floor 3).. it does get better! Staff were friendly and helpful and we were checked in and out in a matter of minutes. Location was absolutely fantastic as we were literally on the doorstep of the main shopping strip. Rooms were clean and tidy and well laid out. I would highly recommend this hotel as we both had a brief, but enjoyable stay

Crikey,we needed a cut lunch and compass to find our room on the 2nd floor. Staying in a non-smoking Heritage room with ensuite the walk from the lift was a fair distance through at least two isolation doors and the all prevailing stench along the way had us just about gagging.I don't know what it was, wether it's ingrained in the carpet or half the hotel is free for all smoking but in this day and age we could not believe the smell of stale cigarette smoke in the passage ways.Please. Please do something about it sooner rather than later.

the Victoria Hotel has the best location in Melbourne. It is within walking distance of most places you would want to visit plus closeness to all public transport.

It's nothing fancy, but clean, comfortable and centrally located. The bar on the mezzanine floor has a nice atmosphere. Alice's Restaurant is certainly not my choice for an evening meal though. The background Thai music is dreadful and the food is very average. Unrestrained owner's children running around all over the place was very off-putting to say the least.

As always the room was large and the staff plesant thank goodness for the mezzanie and the large screen tv's when the football match we most wanted to attend was fully booked. The restaurant is great too. Breakfast lunch and dinner.

Friendly greeting on arrival, though there were problems with parking. They sent me to their '2nd' car park which was difficult to access due to construction works. My queries were met with an "I don't know" response. The following morning, the water was turned off, without warning. Our enquiry was met with a similar response.

The hotel is clean and located in the heart of the city a close walk to all shopping and party places. We had a friends wedding reception to attend, the hotel staff booked us cab to ensure we didn't have to stress last minute for one. I wish there was a view as our faced a brick wall which wouldnt let in any sun shine. The hotel also had a heated pool (small), spa and basic gym facilities. This is was a very clean and tidy hotel. Overall i would definitely recommend for a weekend stay.

Stayed in standard room this time. Have often stayed in heritage rooms which are also exellent value. Price suited us as we have needed reasonably priced central accommodation due to frequent visits to see specialist, that is easy to access by car and includes on-site parking.

This hotel is located in Little Collins St and is convenient to most Melbourne attractions. The recently renovated rooms are comfortable and well equipped. Bathrooms in particular are modern and very clean. The hotel restaurant is well priced and offers a range of Thai and Western food. Would stay there again if I got the room for the same price.

I was given a room that was just average and facing the street, way out the back. That part of the hotel looked very run down. Andt the bathroom fan turned on everytime you turned the light on, and it was cold! Otherwise everything was just adequate. Good location if you wanted to stay in the CBD. And Melbourne comedy festival was great!

This is a central hotel with sprinkling of long-term staff who provide excellent value-for-money accommodation and service. Along with other loyal patrons we've stayed at "The Victoria" many times during the past 45 years. We rate its central location, room facilities, breakfast inclusions and service higher than many of the more up-market hotels.
