The hotel is a short trip from the CBD by car but it's not really an issue if you're driving around.

Located on the Federal Highway at the ACT/NSW border about 15 kms from CBD, this resort was ideal for a one night stopover between Melbourne and Newcastle. The whole property is a bit jaded but clean and quite comfortable - bed was extremely comfy. Room was typical '80s but large with queen and single beds, ensuite adequate with complimentary products. Didn't use wifi, pool or gym but ate dinner at the restaurant - reasonable menu and prices. Altogether, we thought it was good value and would stay again.

Good accommodation, well priced, but too close to the border. Have not received a 'thankyou card'.

Not easy to find you way in after dark, not easy to find your way around the premises - basic and ageing facilities

The hotel was pretty run down. Peeling paint, cracked plaster on the ceiling, cobwebs on the windows. The lounge suite was disgusting, stained etc. We won't stay there again...

Although our stay was made very pleasant by staff, the facility needs to be maintained a little where shower bases are leaking water.

Thought booked room only at a first class premises and where not aware a packaqe was included or we would not have booked. Of the package we used one breakfast each which was not enjoyed. $500.00 plus for two nights is criminal for this type of accomodation. Room was filthy, the rug dirty (should be shampooed),cobwebs hanging under the sink and in the dirty window, many insects and not made up when we returned around 4 p.m. When they did make up the room neglected to supply face clothes.

If you haven't got a vehicle, this hotel isn't for you. It is in the middle of nowhere. We stayed one night and the room was freezing. We had the air con heater on all night. There is a massive gap between the door and the floor. We had to put our suitcases up against the door to try and stop the draft.

The staff were very courteous & helpful, the rooms tidy and it was an easy place to find and it is a good motel for people with children. The only issue I had was that noise carried from outside and the connecting room .

Please beware - if you have a Garmin Sat Nav it will display 2 locations for this hotel, one of which is a youth detention centre off Federal highway. The hotel is actually in NSW, off Federal highway, just on the ACT border.

We have stayed in numerous hotels in the area, this is now our preference, a very relaxed setting, 10 min drive & your shopping or eating out in Canberra.
