Ibis Hotel World Square Sydney Guest Reviews
We arrived at 11pm as organised. Turns out the Queen room on a non smoking floor that we booked and paid for a month earlier was 'not available'. As it was late and my husband and i had nowhere else to go we agreed to stay in two single beds on a non smoking floor. I asked for our money back on that night - they offered us free breakfast - not a fair trade. My 6ft 6 husband slept in a 5ft something bed in the worst room they had - no kidding - that's all they had leftover to give us. Filthy floors, grubby doors, paper thin walls, and mouldy shower base. The only clean thing in that room was the sheets. The next morning before leaving we confirmed with the reception that the room we paid for was going to be ready for us when we got back. She insisted it would be and that we should leave our luggage so they can place it in our new room, ready for our return. However we decided to lug or bags around the city until our return that night - and I'm glad we did. 10pm we returned to our hotel and, just as suspected, we were in fact STILL NOT BOOKED into a room (reminding you again that it was a month ago that we booked and paid for the room!). Luckily there was a room spare - queen on a nonsmoking floor complete with mouldy shower base and feisty tiles (we wore our thongs in the shower to avoid contracting anything). Obviously I wouldn't say much for that room either. They gave us no towels, took our soap, and were filthy. The next morning while leaving our room and saw a condom wrapper in the hall. The day after that it was still there. Shows how thorough the cleaners are. I could go on and on about our stay at the Ibis Pitt St Sydney but I think this should be enough to prove my disappointment in this hotel. I would never stay here again and Cotel Hlub have lost all credibility for booking me into this hotel.

Hotel Ibis is ideally situated for easy access to darling harbour, shops, Hyde park. The discount parking of $35 per day is a must if you are driving as it's double the rate in similar locations. The car park entrance is underground opposite the hotel in Pitt street. Our breakfasts were great value for money and the staff really friendly and helpfu. Will stay again. Richard & Elaine, Canberra

chose location to be near train and downtown, was great for this. bed was very comfortable, room very small for two with luggage, only one chair and a poor one at that and poor lighting to read. price was great for this location.
