We are American ex-pats living in Mumbai & this was our 1st trip to Agra. After a 6hr drive from Delhi to Agra, our suite was a wonderful way to relax & recoup from 2 days of traveling. There were nice little touches like goldfish swimming in the corner & rose petals spread around the room. The staff were helpful without being too overbearing & the grounds were beautiful. Rather expensive charges for wi-fi access. A great variety b/w the diff restaurants within the hotel, but walking distance to local options. We wanted a quick, light dinner that ended up taking almost 2 hrs, but the food was good. The wait-staff refused to let us take our leftovers back to the room with us & I would have liked to have been notified of that policy before ordering. It was frustrating (but comical) to be told that we couldn't take half of a club sandwich with us because "with eggs next to meats - it could be very dangerous! I'm sure you understand... anything could happen!"

The hotel was beautiful - very clean, friendly, and convenient. The lobby was stunning and the grounds were lovely. I actually found the hotel more beautiful than I had anticipated from pictures and others'' reviews. Only downside- since so many people visit the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort while staying at this hotel it would be better to have a regular shuttle from the hotel to and from these two sites available through the concierge.

Despite the redbrick campus feel and the real lack of "India" feel, this is a good option in Agra. Safe and sterile - which is good or bad depending on your outlook. Staff tried to make crimbo fun, and tour desk was very helpful when the fog delayed everything. No real complaints.
