we received exactly what we had booked. A high room on the 37th floor with great ocean views. Upside, views, large room with modern amenities ( not so common in Waikiki) Downside. The lifts are too few for a hotel this size causing us to frequently wait around. The beach facilities are disgusting and unusable therefor you have to change in the hotel, cross a busy road and return to the hotel wet.

We were in the older tower - a bit worn down but still good. You have to carry your rather heavy beach chair, available at the pool, across the road to the beach - thats a -tive. But the staff at the pool and house keeping were super good to us. The breakfast closes right on time and restocking stops half an hour before closing, so if you want well stocked buffet, go at least 45 mins before closing.

Was greeted by the nicest staff, once she found out it had been 25 years since my last visit and that my wife had never been to Oahu before she upgraded our room to ocean view and came from around the desk to greet us with gifts. The hotel was clean, finest restaurants were inside, the Shor was delicious. Breakfast buffet was expensive but worth the price, seeing the sun rise over diamond head and the palms blowing in the ocean breeze. Hotel resort fees included phone calls to the mainland or international calls, two bottles of water, use of the room safe and gym. The concierge service was top notch, the pool and hot tub were very nice, towels for the pool and the beach were given at request. My wife and I are going back and we will stay here again, it's centrally located, shopping is all high end name brands, restaurants are expensive but the food and views are top notch and flavors to die for, staff were there when you need them and out of sight and out of your way when you did not want them around...peace and quiet etc. Can't wait to go back.

Our experience was wonderful at this hotel. It is a mall and hotel all in one. Staff was friendly and helpful. I appreciated the many entrances on all side of the hotel. No matter which way you were coming from, you could access the hotel. Restaurants in hotel were a little overpriced, so we chose to walk to nearby restaurants like Cheeseburger in Paradise for a cheap breakfast special. You are literally right across the street from Waikiki Beach which has a nice man-made cove for swimming. There is tons of shops and malls nearby as well. Plan on doing a lot of walking. The rooms are very spacious. Bathrooms need a bit of updating. But the rest of the room was renovated and modern.
