The rooms have been renovated and are very comfortable. I stayed in a club room which gives you access to a lounge. It's worth paying the extra for this facility. Just two complaints: (1) the wine on offer was hardly drinkable and (2) no computers were provided for internet access. You have to pay extra for that. Alternatively bring your own laptop.

This hotel is one station away from Shinjuku (a major metropolitan hub in Tokyo). There are two smaller subway stops right next to the hotel, the hotel operates a free shuttle to Shinjuku, and there is an underground passageway from Shinjuku to the hotel. Very quiet, peaceful but convenient area to stay. The hotel is a little old but is well maintained. The room was a comfortable size and very clean. All the staff are very helpful.

I picked Hyatt Regency Tokyo this time because my family had stayed here before and had good experience. I had several business meetings with clients in the hotel. The restaurants are somewhat pricey but acceptable. The amenities are very good and the staff are well trained. It is a bit far from Shinjuku station if you walk but they do provide free shuttle to the station.
