Location

hotel room was really nice, the grounds were very well kept, the staff was nice and plesant. valet was on the money and parking was free for guests. all in all i would recomend this hotel anytime.

I traveled here with my husband for vacation. We stayed here for 3 nights and it was a great hotel that we really enjoyed. There was a lot going on between weddings and hotel guests walking around, but we really like that atomsphere. It's a great location - right by the airport, Fashion Island, and my favorite Balboa Island. They have shuttles there too. The hotel was beautiful and the staff were friendly. There were 2 things i didn't like and that is my reason for not giving the 5 stars. First, when we checked in ( which was around 4:30 when check-in was earlier) we were told that our room would be ready in 45 minutes. There were a ton of guests waiting around & the time went quick, but after flying across the US all we wanted to do was shower and eat. The other thing was that they put a $75 a day hold on your CC which was fine but they didnt tell me that, so they had my debit car and they put a hold on it for 225... Annoying... Wish they would of told me. I had to wait 5 days to get it back into the account after checkout. However, I did love the hotel, location, staff, and will plan on staying there again next year! Plus, they had a good rate - every third day free! Great idea!

I felt nickle and dimed: extra $ for internet, extra $ for parking. The room was clean and modern but there was no couch, just a bed to sit on to watch TV. The chair at the desk was too low, and when I asked for another one they forgot to bring it. Clock at bedside was not plugged in. Light switch on bedside lamp was temperamental. Confusing check in line and somewhat abrupt front desk personnel. Hotel itself lovely, very well kept, very convenient to beach and restaurants -- right across the street from a fabulous open air mall with elegant shops. The maids did not replace my soap which was a bit annoying, as I needed to reuse the soggy bar sitting in a pool of water in the soap dish provided by the hotel.

This was a very nice hotel. The rooms were just ordinary. The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. My husband and I woke up every morning with back pain. Also there seemed to be a lot of moisture in the room. Everything felt damp includng the carpet, bed sheets, towels, etc. I think there was too much humidity in the air. I would not want to stay in this hotel again.

This was my first time utilizing HotelClub. I would have to say that I was very pleased with the experience. The price for the Hyatt Regency in Newport Beach was a "STEAL". I have recommended the site to several family and friends
