Our very first trip too Cancun and we stayed at the Hyatt Regency Cancun and I must say that was extremely impressed with the Staff, especially Teresa(front desk) and Alejandro(bell hop); the resort itself was amazing and had an awesome location, the Beach was also by far the best part of the trip! The Cons, food was overpriced throughtout the resort and wasn't very good at all; we ate 3 times on the property and were pretty disappointed each time, but as I said before the Staff and the property were both impressive, so we would stay again most definitely!

Considering a name like the Hyatt, I was expecting better service. We came early for check-in, which is a 3. When I approached the check in desk again at 3, the room was still not ready and we had to wait another 30 minutes. We were given an ocean view room, but the room also faced the Dreams hotel. The Dreams Hotel has massive combine fans outside, which were right under our window and you will hear them humming the whole night--they are quite loud. The internet at this hotel is also quite pricey at around $15 per day, whereas I know some of the other hotels have free wifi. The deli has internet for about $1.50 for 15 minutes, but it is really slow. The cleaning also was not that great. On the positive side, Restaurant O and it's buffet has some fantastic food and the pool and beach area is really nice.

I am sorry to say I was not happy with this trip. Our flight was delayed one day and we were still charged for that night. (it wasn't like they were booked up and needed that room), The wind coming through the sliding doors was noisy and it made it hard to get a good nights sleep, the thermostat would not work correctly. We had a hard time finding our rep most of the time, although they were very nice to us when we did find them. I took someone very special to Cancun with me and they were not happy, and that looks bad on me and your co. I have never complained about a trip before but this was not good.

It was good - Everyone enjoyed themselves. Unfortunately, the pool was not heated (even the upper pool,which was slated as a heated pool!) - Not one person was luxuriating in the pool on the sunny days!! That was dissapointing to me for my family. There was no outdoor jacuzzi - which is unusual for Mexico.
