Check out the gym and pool . Dinner at the hotel was reasonably priced and good wine selection by the glass. Great car parking available and close to the lake for excellent walking and running

Attentive staff, most adequately appointed room, pleasant ambiance and a hotel that has to rank as understated gem.

We love the Hyatt and always stay there when in Canberra. But be warned, service in the tearooms can be quite slow on the weekend when they are doing tea service, particularly if you don't want the afternoon tea service, but just want to order off the snack menu. Tip to get a quick drink is to just go to the bar in speaker's corner rather than wait for table service in the tearooms. We were also kept waiting this time for our rooms, but the staff were very nice about it and gave us some free drink vouchers and a small apology gift for being understanding. We still love you and will go back.

Very comfortable hotel. Very central for tourist attractions and lovely grounds down to the lake. Food a little ordinary but service good. Bell-boys knickerbockers a little anachronistic.

If you are there just half day for work and you need to be near by, then it is fine, but otherwise the location is not really convenient. For the price and the rates of the hotel you expect much much more. On the top of what you pay, you also need to pay the internet connection. The Restaurant is too expensive (32-39 dollars for breakfast, more than 60 for dinner that not include drinks or coffee) and unfortunately there is nothing closer. You can always ask the concierge to call a taxi and go somewhere else, but where is the saving then? The gym need new equipment. My colleagues took 20 minutes to contact me from the desk, cause the staff was not able to find my name in their system. There is no pay-phone in or around the hotel. Need to reach the city centre of Canberra for that. They took 100 dollars from your credit card as a deposit once you check-in, 200 dollars cash if you don't have a credit card.

The facilities at this hotel were first rate and there was free parking which was very convenient. The hotel is wide and not high. This results in very fast lift access but also a lot of walking on each floor. It would not be suitable for a person who had difficulty in walking.

We have stayed a number of times over the years. We have just returned from Asia and my husband and I agreed they are well ahead with service and food.We found the breakfast very average with choices and the haste of delivery of food very slow.Seemed to be a lot of inexperienced people when we ordered a drink mid afternoon. We had to keep asking would it be much longer! It had been forgotten.I think it is time for an overhall In a lot of areas. For such a lovely place its a shame. We felt we may try somewhere different next time.

Beautiful Heritage Hotel close to Old and New Parliament House as well as various Museums. We were allocated a lovely room with lake view - stayed one night and will most certainly be back. Canapes in the evening and breakfast buffet in the Executive Lounge were great!
