I stayed in a standard double room. Location: Walk from MRT station was comfortable and there are some bars, cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance. Walking to the center of town and the river area takes quite a bit longer. The room was a good size for budget price. Decor wass very dated and there are few drawers and places to put things. It all feels a bit dark and gloomy. The bathroom had a small bath with shower attachment. For a tall person, it would be difficult to shower standing up. The A/C was fed into room through a vent. There was no controls other than to open/close the vent. The air rushing past the vent would often whistle and so may disturb light sleepers. Breakfast (included) was rather basic; rice, toast, eggs and some Chinese pickles and small dishes. Food seemed to run out without being replaced, so better to go early. The staff were friendly and efficient and the downstairs areas feel bright. For the price, the room was OK but dark and dated.
