Location
The Howard Johnson Portland Airport Hotel is conveniently located between Interstates 84 and 205. This Portland Inn is situated across the street from the National Sanctuary of the Sorrowful Mother, commonly known as The Grotto, which is a beautiful 62-acre Catholic Shrine and botanical garden. The property is placed close to the campuses of the University of Portland, Portland State University, Oregon Health and Science University, as well as from the Lewis and Clark College.

This is not the nicest place I have ever stayed, but with that said it's a great place to stay for the night. And the price was just right!

Howard Johnson was a prestigeous motel in the 60's.....this is from that era with all the expected needs for an uplift and rebuild. The staff was the only high point; they were friendly and tried to do the best with what they are given. There are better values out there

Overnight stay to rent car and continue trip to Salem the next day. Hotel was okay but had a musky smell in my room,informed the front desk. I question whether I would stay in there again, price was okay and location was okay and staff was friendly but rooms leave a lot to be desired.

I stayed here one night to catch an early morning flight out of PDX. The staff was very helpful and the shuttle service was very prompt. They even give you a breakfast bag for the early morning shuttle. Would definitely stay here again.
