This hotel is not fancy but it provides everything you would expect in a 3 star hotel. The room was clean and the staff responsive to the few questions I had. It's also very close the train.

This hotel is located at a convenient spot, not far from the Loop. There is a metro station very close. The staff was very friendly, helpful and obliging.

This is no more than a 3 star place, but value wise very good if you are looking for a non-fuss, non-fancy place. It looks a bit grim from the street, but the room looked like it was recently renovated, very clean, nice beds, roomy - no problems at all and better than I expected. Parking and internet were included - last time I stayed at one of the big star-big name hotels on Michigan they charged for internet which is one of my pet peeves, so bonus points for that. Would def stay here again.

Great location, very convenient to get around Chicago by CTA. No microwave oven and no refrigerator. But the room is clean.

excellent location and free parking! Parking in chicago is extremely expensive so having free parking in this hotel was a real advantage. We walked everywhere or took the bus or train. The hotel needs some work but the room was clean and good enough to sleep and shower.

While the location is great (walking distance to everything downtown), the hotel needs a lot of work. I only booked here due to the free parking, but then didn't even end up needing my car. Next time, I will book one of the high rises on Michigan Ave. and leave the car at home. The outside is very rundown; I felt like I was in a very bad neighborhood as soon as I walked through the parking lot. But there appeared to be other guests who seemed "normal" there, so I didn't worry. Inside the room, the walls were cracked and peeling, and there was mold in the shower (which also hummed the whole time I showered). The beds and sheets appeared clean, but the chairs were stained and gross. If you are picky about hotels, do not stay here. If you only intend to sleep here and need to bring a car, this hotel will pass.

Staff was good and helpful. Rooms were small but comfortable and maid service kept the rooms very clean. Rooms were not much for hanging out, but we are only at our room to sleep when we travel. Affordable and walking distance to a lot of what Chicago has to offer. ONLY the suites have microwave and fridge.

Not bad to get $79 a night with such a good location in Chicago.

First hint was that there was a security guard in the tiny office. Made me nervous that this was not a neighborhood to walk from the subway at night. The rooms are tacky, below Motel 6. The floor in the bathroom was sticky in my stockinged feet. Some of the tiles were broken.I thought they forgot bath towels but there were 3 different sizes, wash cloth, hand and the smallest, thinnest "bath" towel. The window is clouded over. I have no idea what is on the other side but you can't see out, you can't open it. Nothing. The location is not bad or is it that the mass transit in Chicago is so good. 3 blocks from brown line; 4 blocks from red line, 22 bus 2 blocks away, 56 broadway bus at red line stop.

We stayed there for Lollapalooza. Not a bad hotel, but they are definitely cheap people managing it. For example if you rent a 4 person room (two beds) they only stock 3 towels in the bathroom. It was pretty obnoxious to consistently have to go to the front desk to ask for towels. Aside from that the hotel was decent. Definitely a cheaper option for people who want to be downtown. And the free parking is nice.

Me and four other friends needed an inexpensive hotel that was in the downtown area and near a music festival that was going on. For 5 days/4 nights with two rooms and 5 people it only cost us $170 per person being right downtown in the middle of everything. Because of the bargain price, we were all skeptical that the rooms would be extremely run down and that the staff would be extremely rude. This wasn't true at all. The rooms were very clean and, despite the lack of fridge and microwave, serviced all of our needs. The staff were also extremely helpful and pleasant to talk to. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and I hope others will also give it a chance. Oh, and did I mention free parking?

Great location in terms of frequent cabs and easy walking to train or bus stops. Easy walk to the visitor center (163 E. Pearson St.) for maps, Hot Tix (half price theater tickets), etc. The Currency Exchange is a block a way for daily or longer CTA tickets for the bus or train. Diner on premises is good and the nearby Yolk Restaurant (747 N Wells) was a real find (great for breakfast and lunch). The rooms were comfortable, if a bit small, and the carpeted floor needed a good shampoo. Best of all, there is free parking if you find a spot (we arrived by 4 and had no trouble). We certainly will stay there again.
