Clean, comfortable, very handy for Airport, especially with the free shuttle. Excellent value for money and HUGE cheap breakfast x

Well, we were early due to the change flight. Told the front desk lady that we have been travel,no sleep and very very tired & my daughter was there for interview. With flat face, she just said $30 for early check-in... or just have to wait till 12n. (the charge was $56.50/night) So we stayed out side lobby for 2 1/2 hrs. the hotel was noisy, hard to rest. Next day @ 11:50a, knock on the door," check out time" for check out time of 12n. We have stayed in all kinds hotel, never have anyone knock on door to chase people out. I will never go there or suggest anyone to stay there.

The worst experience in a hotel. Broken tub drain. unavailable Wi-Fi internet connection although it was part of my reservation items. The staff are agressive, not friendly and they couldn't solve any problem.

Good thing is a free shuttle to/from airport. Rooms are OK, but all smoking. Staff is OK, a bit cold. Overall, price/quality ratio is actual.

I have to say this is a average hotel. For the price, it was I expected. Location a little difficult to reach.

Upon awakening early in the morning on the second day of our stay, which included my girlfriend and her 9 year-old son who suffers from a skin condition known as eczema, I noticed several bites on each of us. As a physician I was quickly able to recognize the characteristic bite pattern, known as the "breakfast, lunch, and dinner sign", which is very specific for bed bugs (Cimex lectularius). This triggered an extensive search for an infestation and not surprisingly were easily found, captured, and shown to the hotel staff. There are many problems with this and are even more significant from my standpoint and are as follows: 1) I have several blistering bites on my right hand which may or may not result in loss of work given the fact that I am in the medical field and such blistering lesions are susceptible to fluid transmission with other infectious agents. 2) Although the necessary precautions have been taken not to secondarily infect my home with luggage and other items that were in the hotel room, there are no guarantees and a 4000 square foot home requiring extermination services of such infestations can cost thousands of dollars. 3) My girlfriend's 9 year-old son who suffers from eczema is highly at risk for secondary infections related to such bites and can potentially lead to a hospitalization.

The shuttle Van could stand some cleaning inside. The driver's were very cooperative and helpful. The hotel amenities were very lacking for some reason and not up to the standards we like. We will not use this hotel in the future.

Location is isolated but the shuttle is reliable. Rooms OK. Staff is good. Nothing fancy just a convenient place to stay if you're flying out of EWR.

Didn't even stay in the hotel. Got there and they were going to charge us $20 for parking so we left. dont book unless you are prepared to pay the money for parking.

This room was paid for through Orbitz when I got there. I got my key and went to the assigned room. After a quick walkthrough and a test of the bed I quickly went to see the front desk to see if I could get my money back. When they said that I had to get it back through Orbitz, I counted my losses and walked up the road to the Ramada and stayed there for the rest of my stay. I wasn't about to have sleepless nights after flying all the way from western Canada to enjoy a football game and New York City!! Thanks, Orbitz!!

For the price you may think, oh hey this is a good el cheapo room while I'm in Newark. Think again. My stay was 7 days and I was dinged with a $107 parking fee, which I was completely unaware of. Fun fact. You only find out about this fee when you try to LEAVE and can't get out of the lot. At the end of our stay we would have been better off spending that extra money on a nicer hotel with inclusive parking. Also if you are a light sleeper you'll LOVE the fact that all planes from EWR take off right above you. You've been warned.

This hotel should be avoided at all times. The staff is entirely foreign and does not understand english very well. Even if you are a guest of the hotel you must pay for parking. At the time when we had visited the hotel it was under renovation and our rooms were being worked on as we were entering. The smell of paint and construction material was overwhelming. Though this hotel is in close proximity to the airport it is a nightmare to navigate the roads in that area. Worst room ever!!!

I was in transit to Albany so just stayed there for one night. The place was okay, but the amenities are below expectation for the price I paid. The restaurant was not bad though.

Hotel shuttle took a while to arrive at the airport but once we got there, everything went pretty smooth. We had some trouble with the (old) TV. The over all customer service wasn't the greatest but for the price, it was fine. Would I go there again? EEh, maybe if I was wanting a good price.

The stay was very good and very convienent to be by the airport it is very good, the fact that there is a shuttle there also as well. The beds should be upgraded to more comfort but other than that everything was good.

I called the hotel in advance to ensure that the shuttle bus would still run at 2 AM when I arrived at Newark airport. After landing, I called again and the hotel made the shuttle bus wait for me. Great service and certainly not expected. Check-in was fast. The room was clean albeit nothing special. Wake-up call was on time. Coffee maker in the room worked (necessity after only a few hours of sleep). I would have preferred to get another cup for free in the lobby but I had to pay for it. Oh well, at the price that I paid for the night, I can't complain. Net/net, next time I am traveling on my own dime, I would definitely consider staying at the HJ at Newark Airport.
