Office staff could've been more professional. Instead they were on their cell phone while 3 people were waiting to be helped to check into their rooms. Not good at all.

The room was clean and quiet, with plenty of towels. Continental breakfast area was clean and well stocked. Check in & out was quick and professional. One of the best experiences I've had on Motel Circle.

We headed to San Diego to see the Dodgers play the Padres at Petco Park. I knew there'd be hotels closer to the stadium, but I couldnt beat this price--and I was also familiar with the Hotel Circle area of San Diego. Whn we arrived, the clerk couldnt find my name and rather than re-entering it, she asked if I was sure I had the correct HoJo. I assured her that I did, and I asked her if she spelled my name correctly (it's long). I handed her my ID to save time and when she finally found it, she didnt even apologize. The room was "ok" not the nicest not the worst. It had the basics--two beds, a bathroom, a sink. We were only staying one night so it wasnt a big deal. The AC worked vey well! (too well for my liking, but my brother was happy). You could hear the freeway hum but it wasnt distracting. What was worse was the thin walls and thin balconies that you could hear and feel anyone walk by. But like I said.. for one night, you cant beat the price or location--very convenient and it only took us 10 min to get downtown to the stadium.

It was ok. Not really near downtown, but if you want to be a short cab ride from the hillcrest bar area, it's not bad. for the price it's not bad. it did smell like a smoking room though even though everything indicated that it was not. next time i'll probably spring for something a little nicer in the downtown area, there seemed to be a lot more going on down there. also, went to get some extra towels and the guy at the counter seemed really confused and had to go get a manager...i thought that was kind of strange.
