We had a really good time here. Close to trains and buses. A few stores and restuarants nearby.

My friends and I planned a trip to NYC for New Years. All the hotels in Manhattan were super expensive so we decided to go cheap and this place was it. It's extremely close to the West Farms/Tremont train station which takes you to Manhattan (35 minute train ride). The area is pretty ghetto but the hotel itself was decent. My friends and I just needed a place to sleep and shower because we were partying the whole time there. If you need a place to sleep and shower, this is a cool place. Not ideal for tourists, families or picky people. My friends and I are familiar with the Bronx area and have relatives there so we know our way around. Just be careful with any young black person asking you for the time. This person is most likely a Crips gang member and they will rob you.

I stayed at the hotel for 5 nights during New Year 2012. The hotel located close to metro station, there's easy to get Manhattan, and they also provide a FREE Wi-Fi through the hotel.

When we first arrived, the clerk did not have our confirmation on her computer. I showed her my e-mail with Orb Confirmation No. and the H-J Confirmation No. She said it was not in her system and I needed to call Orb. After and hour of talking to Orb and to her, we finally got our room. The clerk was initially less than helpful but after 30-40 min, finally started trying to help us resolve the issue.

This hotel is located underneath a train track with frequent and very noisy passings. It is also located in a sketchy neighborhood with a housing project across the street. It should tell you something when the check-in desk has 1 inch thick bullet proof glass. On the upside, it does have parking (monitored by security cameras), the bathrooms were clean (but very small), and the free wi-fi was operational. I received a room on the opposite side of the train and turned on the very loud, semi-broken heater/ac unit and the train noise was barely noticeable.

I didn't get an extra bed as I requested, but we where ok. People on the reception not very helpful, kind of scare of people around. Location is fairly good, close to a subway station, probably too close since you can here the subway all night long. Most of our subways trips took over 30mins to Manhattan.

That's a nice-looking hotel room at hostel price. The room was huge (I had a single bed room). It is less than a minute from a non-stop train (subway) as well. You'll ear the train passing all day and night, but the sound was not disturbing for me as the noisy brake sound is fortunately a little bit furter away. The only facility on site was an ice machine, and some vending machine. There is a good grocery within a minute of walk as well, and a lot of cheap fastfood on tremont street, not so far away. Also it is located a few block away from the Bronx zoo, otherwise there is not much tourism to do in that area. But the motel itself is well located.

On the day that I arrived the mta was doing work on the very nearby train tracks. Therefore the entire side walk (where the entrence and parking lot was located had been blocked off. I ended up have to drive around for over an hour to find parking. ( those who know, know that finding parking in the city is next to impossible) I finally get into the hotel via part of the mta work crew guiding me through baracades and over an under yellow tape. I get in and had to wait about another 20mins or so before I was registered and received my room key, due to the fact that the attendant was constantly on the phone directing what was obviously other customers that were unhappy at having to find a place to park. Finally I get to my room and, while the room was clean, I noticed that there was no fridge and microwave, as is shown in the pics I saw when I chose this particular hotel.. I was too hot, tired and annoyed to bother to complain about it. My companion and I ended up have to go out to eat and keep the small ice bucket filled so that we could enjoy a cold beverage. We were familiar with the area so we knew where to go to get some good eats. The best you are going find in this particular neighborhood, as far as food is a pizza shop, corner store deli and you a chicken place if you ride up tremont ave. There is also a mcdonalds ofcourse. Either that or you can order take out directly from the hotel, but don't save any left overs or order any extra beverages, there is no microwave or fridge. I feel the price I paid for an over night stay, especially in that part of town was too much. All they offer is a bed, shower and a television, which had a broken volume button and for some reason had to be turned on an off manually.

The hotel itself was great. It had a clean room, bathroom, and wifi. The ONLY problem I encountered was with the staff. When I arrived, they were rude as to when check in was, but over time, they improved little by little. On my check out day, there was a nice person at the desk and he was great and extremely helpful. I don't know what happened with the employees from day 1.

This hotel is very good for the groop of ** hotels. It's price is low. It is clean with all the necessary facilities. It even have a very poor breakfast, which is better than nothing, and the subway station us very near. The area is not to nice, mostly at night, but isn't dangerous. NOTE: There is a problem with the shower: Only cold water or hot water. No way to choose somthing between.

Security is good. Parking is under camera survelance. Subway Station is a block away. Chinese Food and Fast food are nearby. You can drive to Little Italy of the Bronx (187th ST. near Arthur Avenue) where the food is much better. Location is convenient to major highways.
