Arriving at The Howard is like allowing yourself to be transported to another world. The staff are friendly and accommodating and treat you as a returning friend - even if you're not! Some upscale establishments can make you feel out of place or as if you are intruding on their world but not here. The rooms are very well appointed and the Butler service is second to none. Nothing is too much trouble and it begins to feel quite normal to phone for a cup of coffee or to get a shirt ironed and not do it yourself. I would have no hesitation in recommending The Howard to anyone. It took us 14 years to make our return visit but hopefully it won't be so long before we go back again.

Loved the hotel, its clost to central Edinburgh with wonderful art galleries around. Staff and service were excellent.

Loved both the location and amenties at this hotel. It is close to centre of town with many art galleries around. Service and staff excellent. Will definitely stay again.
