Hotel Vieja Cuba Quito Guest Reviews
My room smelled old. The sheets smelled dirty too. The floor was dirty. The receptionist (at my arrival) was not helpful. The receptionist at my departure was rude. I went to have breackfast around 9:30 and the breackfast buffet was gone. It was supposed to end at 10:00. I wanted to go for out for breackfast and she suggested I better check out before I leave to get breacfast. She said that check out was at 12:00 PM with no exeptions. The only thing I liked was the shower water pressure.

My Spanish was a little rusty but the staff did their best to accomodate me. Beautifully appointed room in the old Spanish style, lovely. I just needed a bigger room. Now that I didn't think of it I never asked for one. Kagler Curtis

The staff was very helpful and concerned with my safety and tried to please me. I speak Spanish so I got along well since staff members spoke little to no English. The hotel was located close to main streets. Room was small but I just slept there and was gone most of the day. The bed was firm(queen size) for which I was thankful as I prefer a firm bed. The restaurant did not have many selections for lunch or supper. The breakfasts (included) were excellent...fresh fruit, fruit juice, coffee or tea, eggs the way you like them, toast, ham, cheese, I also had bacon wnen I requested it. All restaurant staff were superb and waited on my every request. I would definitely return to this hotel if I go back to Quito. Great and safe value for the money.
